It seems longitudinal in Gujarat as compression and rarefaction both amplitudes are maintained carefully.
Finally, it will be changed into transverse waves when economy goes to the phase of recession. You know the laws of physics that every wave transmission ultimately reaches the amplitudes of crest and trough.
